“car”
Noise Beneath the Floor return on March 6 with “car,” an indie pop slow burn that explodes into huge, distorted choruses. Built on classic loud/quiet dynamics and layered with bitcrushed, glitchy textures, the single places Jade Marié (She/Her) firmly at center stage, delivering one of the band’s most intimate and commanding lead vocals to date.
Following 2024’s WHAT IF I’M ALWAYS GONNA BE THIS WAY?, a 28 minute self produced LP that blended punk urgency with bedroom pop introspection, and most recently 2026’s punchy, driving “waning,” “car” represents another evolution. It retains the emotional core that defined their debut concept album A Year in Exile while pushing further into their future.
